Central Region: The Final Countdown 

Once again, competitors from all over Malaysia came down to the Raja Futsal 2019 qualifying round at the Central Region like a moth to a flame on 16 and 17 November. We watched as countless teams come down to the KSL Futsal Sports Centre over two days to fight for their last chance to win a spot in the Grand Finals.

Day 1

After an intense day of games, TOT FC claimed the title as state champions for Raja Futsal Central Region (male category) while the team, Yang Titans, claimed the title for the women’s category.

“We feel like we are the best of the best because we manage to beat all the teams that came to Kuala Lumpur, which is the central area for all,” said TOT FC team captain, Amir Haziq. He also shared that the key to winning was that they not only focused on physical fitness, but also improving on the technical aspects and skills of the game.

Raja Futsal Central Region Day 1 Champions Women’s Category: Yang Titans

Shivon Ng, captain of Yang Titans shared that the team was ecstatic that they won.
“Before this, we had a lot of friendlies and played a few tournaments to prepare for Raja Futsal,” she said. She also commented that every team they played against were skilled and had great respect which they really respect.

Day 2

Raja Futsal Central Region Day 2 Champions: ZM FT (B)

The second day was not any easier than the first. Team ZM FT B fought hard and claimed the title of day state champions with a 3-1 score tally against team 9 One T. The team exclaimed their excitement in being able to qualify for the Grand Finals.
